Retrofit All E series are applicable for retrofit. Since it is possible to reuse the existing pipeline, the installation cost can be reduced. Replacement of existing equipment with high efficiency models would be a great help in reducing the running costs.

Units using following 3 types*2 of refrigeration oil can be linked for retrofit applications. Existing EHP pipelines can be also reused!

A retrofit model is equipped with a built-in filter kit which enables to reuse the existing pipeline without the need for flushing the pipe*1.

Reducing floor space requirements for maintenance service can save the installation space

By optimizing the major components layout, the required working space in front of the unit reduced from 1,000mm to 700mm. It becomes possible to install the unit into the space where there is not enough space available in front of the unit. Moreover, because the exhaust drain filter box is relocated to the front side, all maintenance work can be performed from the front side.

Extended maximum pipe length from 40m up to 60m. (after the first branch)

* Length differences between the first branch joint and the most distant indoor unit and between the first branch joint and the closest indoor unit must not exceed 40m.

The maximum pipe length from the first branch joint to the most distant indoor unit is extended from 40m to 60m and that achieves extensive design freedom. Because the number of connectable indoor units per one outdoor unit increases, air-conditioning design layout, which is not possible to plan with the D1 series, becomes possible with the E1 series (but not for all cases).
